点评:I was so excited by todays venture, driving one hour from Mudgee to stop at Pearson’s Lookout that gives views over the world heritage listed wilderness which is Capertee Valley the world’s widest canyon. The valley floor is 300m above sea level with clifftops up to 700m and the chasm has been carved out over 600 million years. This canyon would be the world’s biggest but it is not as deep as the Grand Canyon but it is 30km wide and has some beautiful rock formations that can almost look like ancient cities in the distance. Apparently there are plants growing here that cannot be found anywhere else which also adds to the mystique of the valley. The views from the lookout are quite extensive and I felt quite privileged to be able to stand here and look down into the valley. When I visit somewhere like this I always wonder why I have never heard of it before.
