点评：A sucessful travel adventure begins and ends with a glimpse into the soul of the area one visits. We often enlist the assistance of a locally based travel guide and are always happy we did. Delta Bohemian Tours and its operator Chilly Billy Howell came highly recommended by friends who have used his services in the past while visiting Clarksdale. When we arrived here, locals from all quarters raved about Chilly Billy, the person; his professional passion, educational background and depth of knowledge of the Delta. We were not disappointed. In fact we were blown away. Along the tour we discussed topography, history, sociology and discography all weaved from personal experiences and vast local knowledge. We gained a foundational understanding of the treasures and the troubles that comprise life in the modern day Delta region. Conditions that led to the evolution of the blues have changed but the experiences that evoke this powerful music have not. Ironically the Blues themselves are a relief valve for tormented souls on one hand, and are providing an economic boost to the area on the other. These wonderful people here embrace you because that is just who they are.This is not a tourist trap it is an enrichment zone. You will leave changed. Chilly Billy's tour will provide the gateway to that moving experience. Delta Bohemian Tours is an essential for the curious and compassionate traveler.
