The highlight of our trek was the incredible team that helped us reach the summit.
1. Japheth (Guide): Captured amazing photos when we were too tired, shared his extensive knowledge of Kilimanjaro, and provided support with our daypacks on summit day, ensuring we felt safe.
2. Moses (Guide): Offered calming encouragement and made us feel secure while carrying our daypacks.
3. Peter (Chef): Prepared delicious meals daily, with fantastic pancakes for breakfast.
4. John (Waiter): Delivered food to our tents with a smile, providing excellent service and support on the descent.
5. Priva: Helped carry our daypacks on summit day.
6. Baraka: Always cheerful.
7. Nashon, Mathias, Hanz: Great support throughout the journey.
8. Gidion: The best photo bomber while carrying water between camps.
9. Agostino: Assisted us on the descent.
10. Gifty: Brought soulful vibes, motivating us every day.
We couldn't have done it without this amazing team!
And the fact that the guides sang happy birthday to me at the summit and had a cake ready for be when we got back to our hotel just shows how much the genuinely care about their guests.
