Big Thunder Gold Mine的点评
点评：So I will start off by saying we absolutely had a blast in the mine. Our tour guide Bryan was super knowledgeable and gave us so much more than the basics. We would definitely recommend him and the tour to anyone coming out this way. If you're tall, be prepared to quite possibly smack your head off the ceiling and if you're claustrophobic, it might not be for you. They do give you hard hats, which is a must. So much information packed into such a short amount of time.
The panning that comes with it is nice for the kiddos. Ours, (6 year old), had a great time swirling the pans around and looking for cool rocks, but the water was freezing since we did come in October. Not exactly worth the time for the adults, but little ones would love this. Plus you get to take home what you find.
We also did the half day panning experience with Mike and that was a lot of fun. We got to climb a little up the mountain and dig for gold with little shovels, a sieve and a bucket. You could get as many buckets in that time frame as you could to increase your chance for getting gold as you wanted. We ended up walking away with about 7 flakes of gold, and a bunch of garnets. We had a great time and Mike was especially patient with our little one spending the whole time playing with the pups he brought a long the walk with us.
