Narrow cliffside gorge you can enter and experience

点评：Rauofeldsgja is a dramatic gorge carved into the cliffside just north of Rt 574 and around 4-5 km north of Arnarstapi. There is a free carpark from which you take a short uphill hike up the the cliffs. There you will see a stream descending from a tall but very narrow gorge. As you approach the gorge there is a small section which you can walk through, crossing and walking up the stream a short distance, entering the gorge.
Once you enter the gorge there are vertical curved walls which are quite beautiful and interesting to see up close. Have a brief look and return to your vehicle to continue onward to your next intended stop in the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. It is a fun stop to make if time permits. Best to allow 20-30 minutes to experience Rauofeldsgja
