They told me they do not take responsibility for stolen items – a shocking stance for any hotel, let alone one claiming to be a 5-star establishment.
When I asked what their procedure is in such a case, I was told I’d need to speak with the property manager. However, this person was apparently “too busy” to speak with me – despite the fact we were the only guests at the property during our stay. It became clear that no one had any idea how to handle the situation, and worse, no one really cared.
This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional – it’s deeply concerning. It left us with the impression that this place is not run with integrity, and quite frankly, may be involved in shady operations. The lack of accountability and basic hospitality standards only reinforces negative stereotypes and does a disservice to Bulgaria’s tourism image.
In summary: stay far away from Katarzyna Estate. It’s not worth the money, it’s not secure, and it’s certainly not a 5-star experience. What you’re left with is a feeling of being scammed — and unfortunately, no one at the property seems to care.
