点评:Only came across this purely by accident accident on a coastal walk, and found it really quite moving that people had their obviously much loved pets buried here , in this wild lovely spot, overlooking the Moray Firth.
Reading up on its history, it appears a retired local started it up in 1992, burying his Alsatian dog Bruce along with 2 other dogs, on wasteland bordering the cliffside - and it just snowballed from there. Dogs, cats , hamsters , and washed up seals, dolphins and a porbeagle shark have been carefully interred here.
The area’s clearly well looked after, by volunteers I believe, and plants , shrubs and flowers are dotted amongst headstones and ornaments.
Having owned several pets over the years , I found it all a touching testament to our spiritual connection with animals, and got quite emotional reading some of the epitaphs.
