点评：Where do I start..... Some very close family friends invited us to join them on a weeks long voyage to the south of France to celebrate a 70th birthday and to relax with them and their daughter. When we arrived we were greeted by our "new" family members from the Apres Tout. Rory (Captain), Caroline (Co Owner and Cordon Bleu Chef), Barbara ( Concierge and Excursion Officer), Cedric (Second Captain) and Emiliya (Chief Hostess). From the moment we arrived, we were treated as "royalty" as well as part of the Apres Tout "family". The Apres Tout Barge (a 1950 grain barge converted to a luxury hotel barge in 2004. was immaculate, extraordinarily well designed, beautiful and offered amenitiies that are reserved for customers who are fortunate enough to find and book this amazing vacation experience. Every detail was not ignored. From the comfort of the cabins, the masterful execution of piloting by the captain, exquisite meals so carefully prepared and presented along with the wine pairings from local vineyards. Rory and Caroline shared some of their best Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines from the local region. In addition the wonderful cheese presentations from Emeliya that showcased exquisite French cheeses from the region (with the flare on Emiliya could provide). Finally Barbara, whom is so well versed in French history provided exceptional guided excursions to historic villages and magnificent wineries of the region.
It was an immersive experience in French history, culture, food and wine that cannot easily be matched.
