Great 6-day hiking trip in the Simien Mountains

点评：My girlfriend and I did a six-day hiking and camping trip in the Simien National Park with Taz, and it was a really great experience from start to finish.
The trip was very well organized. We felt that the itinerary allowed us to see the most beautiful and interesting parts of the park without feeling rushed. Each day was a good mix of hiking and camping, with plenty of time to take in the scenery and enjoy the surroundings.
One of the biggest highlights for us was the food. The cooks did an excellent job, both in terms of quality and quantity. After a long day of hiking, we were always surprised by how good and varied the meals were, especially considering we were camping in a remote area.
We also really appreciated how flexible Taz was. They adapted parts of the trip to our preferences and even arranged, on short notice, an Injera cooking experience with villagers. That was a very special moment and gave us a nice insight into local culture beyond the trekking itself.
The level of difficulty felt just right. It was challenging enough to be rewarding, but manageable if you are reasonably fit and used to hiking.
Before the trip, we had read some mixed comments online about safety in the area. However, throughout the entire experience, including the drive from Gondar to the park, we felt completely safe. A ranger accompanied us during the trek, and everything was handled professionally.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we would definitely recommend Taz to anyone considering a trek in the Simien Mountains.
