We spent two amazing days exploring some of the country’s highlights with him — including breathtaking beaches, Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park, relaxing hot springs, and rejuvenating mud baths. He even handled our airport transfer from our resort to Liberia Airport, and was punctual every single time.
What really sets JJ apart is his encyclopedic knowledge of Costa Rica’s plants and their fascinating medicinal uses, as well as his deep understanding of the country’s rich history, which he shares in a way that’s both engaging and easy to understand. Every tour is customized to your interests, so no two experiences are ever the same.
JJ’s driver deserves a special mention too — skilled, safe, courteous, and incredibly familiar with the local roads, making every trip smooth and comfortable. JJ was also exceptionally patient and thoughtful, even slowing down the pace of our hike and assisting my wife when she had trouble keeping up.
On top of all that, JJ’s tours are reasonably priced, honest, and an incredible value. I truly believe you’d have a hard time finding any guide in Costa Rica — for any group size or fitness level — who offers a better experience. Don’t miss the chance to explore Costa Rica with JJ.
