点评:With two aviation and military-obsessed teens, a stop at this museum was a must on their CDMX trip list. The museum is absolutely beautiful, well-organized, and easy to navigate. We have been to many, many aviation museums and this was definitely the nicest. It is important to note, however, that all signage is in Spanish. Fortunately I am fluent, but it did mean translating every sign for my family.
Important, need to know:
We took an Uber to the museum, but because it is on the base, it was not obvious to him where to take us. Once we got to the gate, they gave him permission to take us in and drop us off.
Returning back to CDMX was a nightmare. In retrospect, we should have paid our Uber driver to stay and wait, but live and learn. Uber is not permitted to enter the base to pick up passengers and is VERY difficult to get in town (we needed to get back to CDMX). I won't get into all of the crazy of details of our ordeal, but thank goodness that by some twist of fate one of the Air Force members who worked at the museum picked us up on his way back to CDMX and took us home. Moral of the story: Make sure to have transportation arranged when visiting this museum!
