Stunning Tours的点评
点评：When a tour says 10 days Splendid Japan that's what you expect to occur, 10 days or 10 nights. From the 16th to 24th by my calculation is 9 days. I don't count my travel day as the 10th day, but that's exactly what they did.
The hotel rooms were NOT the equivalent of a Western 3 star. Don't be fooled. My bathroom at the last hotel, was so small I couldn't shut the door while on the toilet because my knees hit the door, so it COULDN'T close. I'm 6ft tall as a reference.
At the end of the tour you had to arrange transportation back to the airport on your own. No written directions on best options...no hotel shuttle.
The tour guide was good and very helpful to one of the tourists who lost his passport. He went out of his way to assist and translate at the police station as well as making phone calls to previous areas my Aussie friend had been to, trying to locate his passport (which they did find it with his assistance).
The bus drivers were outstanding. We all felt safe.
Better organization at the initial meet and greet and having everyone introduce themselves would have been helpful.
The touring spots were definitely highlights of the trip. More time in the museums and don't schedule them on Saurdays or Sundays with heavy traffic would be strongly recommended, especially at the Hiroshima Museum.
This tour concentrated on temples and shrines, which wasn't a problem, versus intimate cultural locations with one on one people interaction.
I may be off base, but I had expected more informative emails from Stunning Tours prior to the trip, covering do's and don't s and general expectations. Didn't happen. You are on your own once you make your payment.
I strongly recommend you research online articles from other tourists on what to expect once you reach Japan. Those do's and don't were invaluable to me.
