Deserves to be much, much better-known!
Waterton Lake National Park的点评
点评：This Park is located over 3 hours drive from Calgary but that is a very scenic journey in itself. The Park is stunningly beautiful, which ranks alongside the better-known Banff and Jasper National Parks. I cannot understand why Waterton isn't as famous. It has considerably lesser facilities, in terms of shops, etc., so perhaps this accounts, in part, for it attracting fewer visitors. They don't know what they are missing!
It is important to note that many of Waterton's facilities are closed over the winter, with many already shut up by the time we visited in early October.
There are umpteen trails spread around the Park and, in season, many waterborne activities available. Many days could be spent experiencing the sights, etc. of Waterton but a good feeling for its natural treasures can be obtained in a one-day trip.
In summer, it is possible to enter the U.S. from the Park; either by road or across the lake itself.
