点评:To be quite honest, I'm not even sure where to start to convey the experience so I will resort to bullets to remain constructive and organized.
- Layout/Presentation of the escape room was shocking and underwhelming. To have the room in the lobby where it was crammed into a corner was almost funny. I am glad there were only four of us participating as more people definitely would not have fit in the space! There were at least three broken props and even found an answer on a post-it in a desk drawer (not sure if this was intentional, but I find it unlikely as the idea behind a room is to figure stuff out).
- Game: Once we accepted the room was what it was we started the game and found the case files in the first two minutes as the wrong lock was put on the locker so we had to wait for your employee to fix the room. This made the game anti-climatic and not quite as fun.
- Clues/Host: Understanding this was her first time working a game alone (so she states) she did try, but needs some more guidance/training. She greeted us pleasantly, but kept stating how embarrassing this was and apologizing for the state of the room. In my opinion we should have been advised up front that the room wasn't what it is meant to be and offered the opportunity to reschedule. The cost for the four of us was definitely not worth what we got. She told us there was only one room and she would be invisible and ignore us but she had to be in the room as it was the lobby. As we were working the game she yells out, "the clue for the monitor is xxxx". Later my son was working on the books and she yelled out how many books have you found? My son answers and she comes running over and moves him aside, fixes the books and hands us the clue. We are reading the clue and discussing it as I knew the code from other material I had read and was sharing that with my kids and she yells - make sure you read the whole card you need his birthday. We then solved the puzzle. The whole process took us 30 minutes, which tells me several things, but I'm guessing you can guess what those are.
