One of the nicest lighthouses at the Jersey shore
East Point Lighthouse的点评
点评：The East Point Lighthouse is one of the most interesting lighthouses in South Jersey. When they renovated the lighthouse, they asked local residents to donate their family heirlooms and the rooms are full of period pieces, well decorated rooms of the family that lived here and a very detailed Children's room filled with antique toys.
Each room has a different theme and was used for a different purpose. Each was tastefully decorated. You get to see each level of the lighthouse and how the families used it when running the day-to-day operations of this somewhat isolated lighthouse.
The grounds are really nice and loaded with flowers and it is a breeding ground for the Monarch butterfly. They even had a butterfly festival going on when I visited here.
This lighthouse you should visit when you are in the area.
