Comfortable and authentic homestay with Susan
Can Tho Touring with Susan的点评
点评：My mother and I recently completed a 3-day Mekong Delta tour with Susan, and it was by far the most authentic experience on our holiday. Susan is a lovely person and really makes you feel at home. We also had Bao as our guide on day 1 and 3 of the tour and he is extremely warm and lovely too. The accommodation is clean and cosy - you also have your privacy but know that Susan is there if you need her.
Even though we were unlucky with the weather (it rained a lot on days 1 and 2), the itinerary remained the same and we were given rain ponchos :D The bike ride on the first day was so much fun and I think the highlight was tasting the pomelo fruit from a local woman. We ended up spending almost an hour sitting on a porch outside her house waiting for the heavy rain to clear. The cookery class from Susan that evening was great too (the food overall during our stay was very good).
The next day we visited a rain forest and got rowed through a stream where we saw the (former) minefield from the Vietcong as well as the entrance to a tunnel. Next we stopped for lunch before taking the ferry to a fish farm and island in the middle of the river outside Can Tho. Making the pop rice was very fun and a unique experience!
On the final day, we were up early to take a boat around the floating market. We had breakfast on our boat - the best bahn mi we had during our entire trip! We also stopped at a rice noodle factory, saw a community that grows seeds for plants, sailed down a side canal, and then visited Mr Bean’s chocolate factory (the highlight of my day!) - I recommend the cold chocolate drink.
I highly recommend this experience if you want to get a true feeling of what life is like for the majority of rural people in Vietnam. It was one of the highlights of our holiday.

最后一天，我们早早起床，乘船游览了水上市场。我们在船上享用了早餐——这是我们整个旅程中吃到的最好吃的越南法棍！我们还参观了一家米粉厂，看到了一个种植植物种子的社区，沿着一条支流航行，然后去了憨豆先生的巧克力工厂（这是我当天最喜欢的地方！）——我推荐冰巧克力饮品。
如果您想真正体验越南大多数农村居民的生活，我强烈推荐这次体验。这是我们假期中最精彩的部分之一。
