A good place to visit if you are in Old Town Alexandria - two parks in one

点评：This is a park located on the river side of Old Town Alexandria. There are several parking options. There is a set of parking spots along the west side of the park, street parking around the city, and a free lot south at Jone’s Park which is a 10 min walk away. The park is a large open field with a walkway along the water, that heads both north and south. The park connects to King Street Park, another open field park, just to the north of this one. There is an awning-covered seating area with tables between the two parks. There is a walking trail to the north and south along the river with informational signs and displays that describe the sights along the trail. There are several shops and restaurants in Old Town Alexandria just to the west of the field. The field has several large trees and some well-worn grass. There is a large, “I Love You” sign facing the street that offers a good picture option. It seems a hub of activity the times that I have been there and offers a good view of the Potomac River. It is a good place to visit if you are planning to visit Old Town Alexandria and want an easy place to park and enjoy a walk along the river.
