Another Cornish gem.
Porthleven Harbour的点评
点评：We visited Porthleven because of a recommendation of a friend. We didn't know what to expect.
The centre of the village is the harbour. There is a typical offering of gift shops. A good choice of eateries ranging from fish & chips, a Cornish pastie shop all the way through good pub food to high quality dining. There is also a small local supermarket. Two pubs/inns overlook the harbour. The Harbour Inn and The Ship pub. Proper pub bars as well as dining. The beer is well kept, and excellent views.
Various activities are available ranging from cruises and water-sports through to guided or self- guided walks.
All the main attractions are clustered around the harbour and an easy walk to any of them.
The south side has virtually no gradients, the north a bit more challenging.
There is no shortage of accommodation on offering a wide range of options.
The locals are friendly, and the atmosphere is that of a typical, relaxed Cornish fishing village.
To summarise, Porthleven is delightful and we would come again.
