Riverbanks Zoo and Garden的点评
点评：For the price we paid, we were expecting a much nicer zoo. The zoo has a nice collection of animals and some of them have very good enclosure/ exhibit areas. But the majority of the large animals had no water in their areas. There may have been some in their private areas but you could see where there were large pond areas in each exhibit that had been allowed to go dry. The whole place just seemed dusty and dry. Many of the animals were lethargic and not moving. The 2 koalas in particular were housed in two separate enclosures with cement floors and one branch / section of a tree . Nothing else. Each koala was just lying on a section of the branch and not moving. There was nothing for them to climb on, play on, etc. It was so sad.
There were also signs about a "tram" to the botanical garden but no such tram existed. Since it was warm outdoors we decided not to make the hike over to that section of the zoo.
