点评：Our adventure in Namibia was our second Africa trip planned and organised for us by Tertius from eyeseeAfrica. The previous trip, to the Kruger game reserve was outstanding and, therefore, we never contemplated anything other than returning to Tertius to help us with our Namibia trip. And what a great decision that was!
From the outset Tertius guided us through the options, offering us sound advice on all aspects of the trip; from the big stuff - like where to visit and the best places to stay - to the day to day detail that might seem at first trivial but turned out to be essential. For example; refuel every chance you get because the next fuel stop might be a hundred km away, where to get snacks and drinks for your journey, and interesting things to see along the way even if that meant a slight detour from the most direct route.
We self drove during our stay, over 2500km in 12 days. The roads in Namibia are long and remote, so the fact that Tertius had sent us navigation details from stop to stop before the trip and again daily throughout was incredibly reassuring. In a nutshell we felt a lot more secure and safe knowing that he was monitoring our progress each and every day.
Namibia itself is a truly amazing country. It’s big! At least it is if you’re a Brit! But it delivers such spectacular scenery and incredible game spotting opportunities that you’ll never be disappointed. Picking the best is a near impossible task, as the number and variety is huge. But for us,Sossusvlei, the desert elephants in Damaraland and the game reserves do stand out. And, of course, the Namibian people were some of the friendliest and most welcoming people that we’ve ever met.
This was a holiday that will live long in our memories.
