She steered us wrong on 2 counts.
Munising Visitor Center的点评
点评：The lady at the visitor center on M-28 (near Hwy. 94 - not downtown) showed us the falls in the area on the map. She "highly" (her words) recommend The Horsehoe Falls, since it also had botanical garden, etc. .....worth seeing (her words). Admission was $9 - Senior rates. The "botanical" gardens were long gone due to weather. There was a waterfall, an informative walk through the woods identifying trees, and a fish pond....with fish and ducks. It is probably beautiful in the summer. But we did not feel it was worth it since summer vegetation was gone. The falls itself was not that outstanding. Overall, it was not worth the $18 it cost for the 2 of us.
Also, when asking her to suggest a place to eat that evening, this same lady strongly recommended Buckhorn Resort with many choices - good family restaurant (her words). She did say it was about 8 miles away. The GPS couldn't find it's way and we circled around a number of times. We finally decided to use the map with the falls she'd given us and found it. The food was not worth it. I'm pretty sure the gravy on my philly steak sandwich was a packaged product. :{ - Not my kind of food. The drive out there was enjoyable only due to the fall color. The restaurant did offer a beautiful view of a lake.
