Beautiful but could be better…
San Blas Frontera的点评
点评：Friends and family urged us to visit the San Blas so during a trip to Panamá - we did!! And we’re so pleased we did…
Frontera were great helping us to book at albeit short notice. But it meant they had to find us a cabin elsewhere as Waildup was fully booked.
We stayed on Naranjo Chico after excellent hotel pick up and boat transfer.
Our hosts were warm and hard working, their food was fresh and plentiful - BUT could they be encouraged to engage a little more - on a boat trip they simply parked up and sat back with no explanation or expectations…
Our island was beautiful BUT way too much shoreline rubbish - could the islanders be encouraged to litter pick, I do realise they don’t cause it all.
Our cabin was large and over the water BUT very basic - more so than Frontera had prepared us for…
Truth is these islands are suffering from rising sea levels and these islanders need support to run these businesses and to care for their islands.
We leave with memories of a beautiful part of the world, a delightful people BUT a vulnerable way of life.
