点评:After parking our car, my sister and I began our walk along the Kettle Valley Rail Trail (KVR). It was a beautiful and bright sunny day for our hike with a goal to reach our final destination. Our route was north of the city that gave us spectacular views of Lake Okanagan, parts of Penticton itself as well as forest that lined both sides of the trail with housing developments interspersed along the way. We followed a short, grassy path towards the KVR’s defined and easy walking surface. We met other walkers and bike riders. A worker was repairing a fence at one point and provided information about the nearby WOW golf course. At the end of the trail, roofers were installing solar panels. Evidence of horseback riders dotted several areas along side the roadway. We passed under three bridges that spanned different parts of the valley. The trail is easy walking with a flat, well maintained surface. We passed a large sign for Wally Bonin Park and will return to walk it another day. Dogs on leash are permitted on the KVR. On our return trip, we looked for the markers we noted so we could find our way back to our parked car.
