11 Days in late September - UB + Gobi Tour

点评：Even before the trip, 4Seasons was excellent, with fast responses and flexible tour planning and scheduling! Ogi made the process of setting up the trip very easy. We ended up doing an 11 day tour into the Gobi and a small jaunt west of UB. We travelled in late September into the first week of October, and the weather was fairly comfortable, until the last leg west of UB, where it dropped below freezing and snowed. Like the travel agency's name suggests, we experienced all four seasons, from desert heat to snowy mountains in just a few days. Our guide Uka and driver Byambaa were kind, knowledgeable, and fun to be around.
Over the whole trip we drove 2500km, most of it was off-road over grass, rocks, mud, rivers and streams. We climbed a giant sand dune and a volcano. We stayed in a bustling metropolis and in nomadic gers (huts) many kilometers from the nearest small town. We bathed in (very) hot springs and rode camels and horses. We got to listen to Mongolian music, both traditional and modern in a wonderful live performance. The museums were full of fascinating artifacts and art, and the food was delicious. 10/10 would recommend!
