Low-Key Natural Beach & Nikolas Taverna

点评：Confusingly, there are two Agia Anna (or Saint Anna) beaches in Mykonos. This Tripadvisor listing refers to the one that sits between Paraga and Platys Giaolos beaches, on the south coast. The other beach is listed under ‘Agia Anna’ and is located at Kalafatis, on the southeast coast.
To make it even more confusing, there is also a Sant Anna beach club at Paraga Beach. The reviews below are a bit of a muddle. Not all refer to the same place.
This review is about the Saint Anna Beach on the south coast. It’s one of a stretch of five beaches that you can easily walk between. Starting from Platys Giaolos Beach, it's the very next beach you come to and is only 15 minutes walk along a beautiful coastal track. Paraga Beach is just 5 minute walk further on.
If like us, you want to explore several beaches, it's very easy to do that here.
Saint Anna is the smallest of the beaches in this area and much lower key than the others. There’s less glitz and more unconstructed, natural beauty.
There’s still an organised section with sunbeds and umbrellas at Pinky's beach club in the middle but to the left, is a decent sized free section. This is a nice area which is sheltered by the curve of a rocky hillside. It’s where we went with our towels and books.
We came here twice. The real drawcard was Nikolas Taverna, a traditional family-run restaurant right on the beachfront. We loved sitting at a table on the sand, with a glass of wine in our hand and our toes in the sand. It was Nikolas Taverna that brought us back the second time.
GETTING HERE: There’s a large carpark next to the beach but no direct bus from Mykonos town. We caught the bus to Platys Giaolos Beach instead and walked the short distance to Saint Anna.
