亚利桑那科学中心的点评
点评：I took my daughter's yesterday because we were downtown for something else and we had free tickets via POGO pass. The last time we went was in 2021. They are 13 & 16 but remember the science center fondly as a fun field trip when they were in elementary school. If I had paid $80 to enter for the three of us I would have been pretty irritated. There was literal trash and water bottles everywhere over the museum. I would say at least half of the experiences were broken or did not work. The nail bed didn't work, on the first floor things were broken, things did not light up, the computer programs were outdated and you could not access the questions or things. The WONDER center had malfunctioning computers, broken pieces. The HAM shack was roped off and you could not access it. In the sand erosion bed had maybe two cups of sand in it. Every floor was scattered with water bottles (I assume left by field trip students), there was paper trash everywhere on the first floor.
I understand from time to time they remove or rotate exhibits but the water exhibit on the first floor was removed and replaced by seating, this was something they looked forward to seeing. The gift shop was moved to a central location that you must walk through to go to the entire science center, as a teacher in a title one district this is not very equitable to the students who do not bring extra money to get things from the gift shop.
As a teacher and mom who spent the better part of either taking my own students or going as a chaperone for a field trip, I would be severely disappointed as would the students.
