Clean beach, crystal clear water
Kantia Beach的点评
点评：This is *not* a naturist beach, as one reviewer has commented. You could certainly indulge any naturist leanings at the extreme right of the beach as you face the sea, if you're so inclined, but it is frowned upon in Greece generally, and the beach is NOT deserted. Quite often you'll have locals fishing up at that end of the beach, and those people that prefer a little solitude for their beach experience.
The beach is long and has various hotels, bars, and so on at points along its length.
The sand is coarse red sand and pebbles, but the water is crystal clear and a joy to swim in. The safe area for swimming is marked out by buoys spread along the bay, but there's no lifeguard, and your water safety is your own responsibility (as it always is!)
Of the two separate days we spent at Kantia, one day we utilised a sunbed and palm beach umbrella area called Zoom beach bar and club, which was great. I'll write a separate review on their site. The other day we just lay on our towels on the beach bringing our own water and comestibles. Both options were great. Fantastic views across the Argolic Gulf to the mountains of Arcady.
I liked this beach because it was quiet, clean, and the water was crystal clear and there were no rocks. A nearby beach at Drepano has nicer sand, but rocks everywhere.
