E's Put-in-Bay Golf Carts的点评
点评：Being mid-morning, mid-week after Labor Day; we were able to walk over after departing the Miller Ferry, and easily rent a cart with no reservation (we were informed it's a much different reality in-season and on weekends).
We used the cart for about 7 hours, while exploring the Island; and the cost (with a coupon from the Ferry) was $60 (also different from in-season/weekend rates).
One note: If one is not used to driving a cart, as was our case; one needs to ask for some instruction. It was willingly given; but staff seem to assume all renters are versed in operating this type of vehicle. Also, if one is a first time visitor, be sure to request a map; it can be helpful.
The cart was a wonderful way to experience the Island; allowing for a comfortable immersion into the surroundings, both natural and man-made.
It's not super fast; but that adds to the ability to focus on the sights and sounds around.
(A special treat was having a cart named "Dumbledore"; especially being an ole fartz Potter fan with grey hair & beard.)
