AMAZING WINE TOUR AT CASCINA MADDALENA

点评：We had booked the wine tasting quite a while ago and Elisa was incredibly helpful in adjusting the timings to suit our requirements and providing us with taxi details.
The vineyard is stunning and only about a 15 minute taxi from Sirmione.
We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and seated at a lovely table on the terrace overlooking the vineyard.
We had our tastings before the wine tour, all the wines we tasted (from the Gino wine tour) 5 of them were amazing and these were accompanied by breadsticks, delicious bread, oils, olives and other yummy nibbles, we especially loved the homemade marmalade (wish we could have taken some home). Elisa was incredibly knowledgeable telling us all about the history of the family vineyard, how it had started and all about the wines we were tasting.
After the tastings we joined the tour and were shown where the wine is produced, and the cellar which was very interesting.
At the end of the tour we were given a lovely little cork gift from Elisa to remember our tour. We all thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at Cascina Maddalena and the kind hospitality at this beautiful family run vineyard, we only wish we could have stayed longer and could have taken home the amazing wine. We look forward to visiting again.
