What a perfect day! Thank you Blanca and Ania!

点评：Just an outstanding day, one which I will always remember. Priorat, and it's big, bold red wines, has long been a favorite of mine, and being able to visit was a very special occasion for me. Ania was excellent to work with to arrange our day, and Blanca was one of the best tour guides and drivers I've ever met. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and funny, and kept us on track throughout a busy day. We were on a very tight schedule in the evening to make our train back to Barcelona, and she did a stellar job getting us there in time.
We took the high-speed train from Barcelona, which was a treat in itself. On the return leg, I thought to check our speed -- 143 mile per hour! I wish we had such trains in the US.
We left the lunch selection to Blanca, and she knocked it out of the park. I cannot imagine a more perfect restaurant to suit the day! It was just wonderful, a tiny local place we would never have found on our own, with an incredible wine list and amazing food. I had requested to visit Clos Mogador, which they were able to arrange, but we left the other two visits to them, and their choices were perfect. Each winery and tasting was unique, and we were able to see a lot of Priorat's beautiful territory.
Having been in Spain for nearly two weeks, we had accumulated about 18 bottles of wine and olive oil, and Ania and Blanca were able to arrange for those to be shipped back to Connecticut along with the bottles we bought at the wineries in Priorat. Shipping came to around $20 USD per bottle roughly, but the vineyard prices were surprisingly reasonable, so I think it worked out very well.
I highly recommend Travel Priorat to handle your day trip. Can't say enough good things about Blanca and Ania. They were just wonderful.
