Good place to stay near Florence.

点评：Our lodging here was through a package deal with Great Value Vacations. All in all we enjoyed our stay here, but there are a few things that caught us by surprise.
First of all, our lodging was not actually in the castle, but across the street from the castle in another building. It was pleasant enough, but we did not actually stay in the castle as we expected.
Second, there were fees that we were not aware of at booking. There was a cleaning fee, a local tax not included in the room cost, and a heating fee. The building we stayed in was old and cold, so we had to pay a fee to heat the apartment each day.
But there were a few things we enjoyed. The castle was a short walk away, and the restaurant at the castle was very good. Our beds were very comfortable, and we had plenty of room in our 2 bedroom apartment.
There's not much nearby as far as restaurants - just a few. A larger grocery store was about 15 minutes away. But the surrounding area is beautiful.
Florence was about 30 minutes away, and major highways were about 15 minutes away, so the location was good, without being in the thick of the city hubbub.
Staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant staff did a great job serving us.
