A Convenient Stop for Excellent Quebec Cheese
Fromagerie Le Detour的点评
点评：Fromagerie Le Détour is a great little stop just off the A85—perfect for a quick break on a road trip through the region. The shop is small but well-stocked with a variety of their own cheeses and other local products.
During my visit, I had the chance to sample a few cheeses and ended up purchasing their award-winning Magie de Madawaska and Grey Owl—both outstanding in quality and flavor. Unfortunately, their Fleur de Brebis and ancestral butter were out of stock at the time, which was a bit disappointing.
The shop also carries regional products, including Quebec ciders. While generally of excellent quality, I found the ciders to be a bit overpriced—especially when compared to French ciders from Normandy, which tend to offer better value.
That said, the cheese alone makes Fromagerie Le Détour well worth the visit. If you're passing through Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac, it's a delicious and convenient stop for lovers of fine Quebec cheese.
