Bastei Bridge的点评
点评：This was done as a half-day daytrip from Dresden, taking the train to Korort Rathen, then taking the small ferry across the Elbe to Rathen proper, then walking up a portion of the Schwedenlocher trail to the Bastei bridge itself. It was a great trip, except for the Deutschebahn train cancellations/delays on the way back. If you only drive to the Bastei bridge parking lot and walk to the viewpoints, you'll miss some of the highlights of the experience. The ferry is fun, the town of Rathen is quite charming, and the hike up to the Bastei bridge from Rathen (and down to Rathen again, in my case) is not too strenuous, but has several beautiful viewpoints on the way up or down.
The views from the bridge are quite stunning - sort of like what parts of Utah might look like if they were very green and covered with lush vegetation.
If you only have time for the Bastei bridge itself, and nothing more, do it! - but if you have the time, and the energy, the hike between Rathen and the Bastei bridge is also very worthwhile.
