点评:As an "entitled American" I did not have the best experience at this winery. The woman (who I am assuming was the owner) told me and my husband that we were "entitled Americans'' because we did not stop at the exchange when we crossed the USA/Canadian border and did not have Canadian cash on hand - even though they took credit cards. We don't usually carry cash and did not think it would be a problem to not have Canadian cash seeing as Canada is just as developed as the USA and everyone takes credit cards these days.
As we were leaving, a different woman told us to have a great day and we said thank you. Immediately, I hear the same woman who called us “entitled” whip around and tell the worker, “THEY aren't from here.” What does it matter that we aren't from Canada? We were paying customers exploring another country. They should be grateful to have ANY customers. It was painful to be treated this way at an establishment we were expecting to have fun at. It was our first stop in Canada and it really put a damper on the rest of our trip.
The entrance into the tasting room smelled like cat poop. We LOVE cats. We don't love the smell of cat poop mixed with our wine..
Every wine is DRY. If you like even semi-sweet wines, there will not be anything here to enjoy.
There was no parking and it was very difficult to get out of the parking lot.
I hope the woman who was so offended by us “Entitled Americans” learns what it means to be kind and appreciative to ALL of her customers. If you're an American looking for a good time, I would skip this winery and go to Shale Ridge Estate Winery and Cidery instead. You will actually feel welcomed there and they have a nice, clean atmosphere in more ways than one. We spent the rest of the day there with our entitled, American credit cards :)
