Glacier Bay Lodge & Tours的点评
点评：My family of four (mom + three young adults) did the Glacier Bay day boat tour from Bartlett Cove in mid-June, and we had an incredible experience.
First, I will say that I think that people who travel to more remote/ less visited National Parks are, by nature, more adventurous and open to new experiences. That may be a reason that the folks we happened to pile onto this boat with that day were a mostly friendly, pleasant, intelligent bunch, (crew and NPS Ranger included) and that certainly added to the goodness of the day. But even if we’d had a boat full of grumps it couldn’t have spoiled the journey.
Awe-inspiring glaciers, humpback whales, a total of five (5!) bears, and just the most beautiful scenery surrounded us through the journey. The NPS Ranger on board provided commentary on wildlife sightings and geological/ glaciological landmarks. The crew were all friendly and capable. Complementary coffee, tea, cocoa, and donuts were available in the galley throughout the day, soup was served mid-morning, and turkey sandwich lunches were served around noon (vegetarian options available if you call ahead).
The voyage lasted from 7am- 3pm, and we all arrived back at Bartlett Cove safe and sound and with huge smiles on our faces.
This tour is worth the price of admission—and, unless you are a backcountry sea kayaker/ camper, it’s the only way to see some of the most spectacular regions of the park.
