Fishing is not my thing

点评：I am an animal lover and do not enjoy watching animals die, but my husband convinced me to go on this family outing and after meeting Yuri, I was put at ease and decided to tag along. We visited Nosara during the rainy season so the water was rougher than I expected which caused some slight nausea. However, the further out we were on the water, the ride became better and all was well.
Dolphins are my favorite mammals, so I delighted in seeing schools of them swimming alongside our boat. I have never been deep sea fishing so this was definitely an adventure. My idea of fishing is sitting in a boat holding your rod until there's a bite. Deep sea fishing consists of going way out into the ocean with several massive lines baited and sitting in the water. You literally just enjoy the ride, music and the company until you hear one of the rods spinning to let you know there has been a catch. Our first catch was a 100 pound sail fish and it took the effort of my husband, brother in-law and the crew to rein him in for a photo. He was absolutely beautiful, but you do not eat sail fish and also they are a protected species, so as soon as we snapped a quick photo he was released back into the water. Later on, I caught a Dorado (mahi mahi), and again, a beautiful fish, but he was too small and was also released back into the water. I had quite a bit of anxiety over the whole idea of catching a fish, but while I will most likely never fish again, it was not as bad as I had imagined and I did have a good time.
While deciding which company to hire for our expedition, I heavily relied on reviews and there is a reason that Sea Saw has ben ranked 5 stars on Google and Trip Advisor. Yuri and his crew were amazing and we really appreciated the beverages, snacks and fresh fruit that was provided. They really went above and beyond to make sure that our adventure was a memorable one and they succeeded.
