All this could have been avoided by a little courtesy. They were not even asked to do lifting since I would have carried the chair in or my friend would have walked to it.
Issues that came up were:
1) Since all the staff were in the back room, items could be carried out without notice.
2) The staff were extremely rude and ignored me totally, too busy with their own talk.
3) My friend, a lawyer, pointed out that this treatment of an ill person in distress is a human rights violation.
