点评：Gottaglie has around two dozen shops selling ceramics. A lot of the same creations appear in many of the same shops. After several visits over many years you see the same items, in the same place - unsold.
Reason: the prices being charged are ridiculously high, well beyond the pockets of even overly-stuffed cruise ships wallahs.
In my judgement, most of the ceramics are horrendous - old fashioned being the main criticism. Occasionally you see something good, then a little bartering later acquire it if a reasonable price can be agreed. That has been my draw to Gottaglie ceramics.
But its future must be limited: some rubbish creations at daft prices will drive people away. Just this month I saw tourists leaving empty handed bemoaning prices.
This jewel will die very soon unless lower cost volume over occasional sales becomes the business model.
