Charming Medieval Square in Old Town

点评：This is a beautiful public square in Old Town of Frankfurt. Named after the Römer building (Rathaus or City Hall), the square has been the seat of city administration since the 15th century. What you find today are rows of half-timbered buildings along with the fine group of three Medieval buildings where Römer stands as well as Old Nicholas Church (Alte Nikolaikirche).
There are a couple of fountain monuments (Justitia and Minerva) on the square while many of the ground level properties are lined with souvenir shops, eateries and coffee shops. It makes for a charming location with great atmosphere and scenery. We particularly enjoyed this location during the December Christmas Market while the square was also filled with stands where you could have Gluhwein and other seasonal speciality foods.
