Christmas lunch at The White Lion - a roaring success

点评：As a local favourite of ours we made the decision to have a stress free Christmas Day by having our lunch with them and what a treat it was.
From the moment we arrived the guys made sure we had a wonderful day. We were seated at our table which was very pretty and decorated well, there was no rush in the service, we were brought out all 5 courses at the pace we needed and each course was delightful. The stars of the show for me were the parsnip soup and the turkey main course, so tasty and cooked to perfection.
The staff really went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic day, they are all so friendly and welcoming, it felt like you were just part of a really large family. Everyone was in good spirits and you could see it had been a special time for all.
This is a fantastic pub to visit from special events like this, to grabbing some delicious food, watching some sports or just a to have drink. Easily one of the best pubs in Houghton, I highly recommend giving them a visit.
