点评：We visited this national treasure at the perfect time of year, the end of October. I would recommend stopping at a visitor station before you go too far into the park. They were very helpful sharing what was closed. They knew exactly what trails would be best for us. Best condition of trails, length of trails, etc. it's a great bathroom stop too.
The roads we traveled through the park were in great condition. The roads are well marked.
Be sure to have lots of time allowed for the park visit. Most of the roads we traveled were 20-30 miles per hour with lots of curves. There were many visitors, they were driving slowly....which is good. But that also meant lots of cars driving very slowly in lines. If you drink lots of liquids you may be in for long bathroom wait.
The scenery is breathtaking. Pictures do not do it justice. We viewed several wild animals including a bear, deer, eagles, turkeys, squirrels, and pastured horses.
