On the mountain, great attention to detail, daily acclimatisation check in with Elijah the guide, ensuring we were both fit to continue each day. His knowledge and enthusiasm were endless, from birds to mountain history, along with Tim. The assistant guide, they were a joy to spend time with.
David cooked outstanding fresh meals, Bongo ensured excellent camp set up and hygiene, water was purified and filtered for drinking. The porter team were friendly, fun to hang out with and super professional.
The company trains and pays staff well, ensuring they are properly equipped on the mountain.
We trekked Point Lenana in 4 days via Chogoria route, then climbed Batian N Face Standard route unguided on day 5. Elijah arranged radio check in times and porter support for accessing the route.
Like most high altitude adventures, this relied on solid support for us to achieve our goals. African Ascents gave us that 110%.
