San Carlos Surf Resort的点评
点评：This was a horrible experience.
Granted, we arrived a bit before our check-in time, but the place was locked up: padlocked iron gates and locked doors.
While trying to find a way in (I really had to go to the bathroom), I noticed a pile of dog waste about 25 feet away from the bar in what I'm assuming was the lounge area.
For the next 5-10 minutes, I circled the establishment, banging on windows and rattling doors, while my need for a toilet escalated.
A dog started barking, and eventually we were greeted by a young lady. Friendly enough, though when I pleaded to her that I needed to use the banos, she told me there were none.
That was a lie.
"Banos... andele, andele, rapido, emergencia," I cried.
FINALLY, she looked at a clipboard to verify our reservation and eventually let me into one of the rooms.
My brief stay in the room gave me a chance to view the bed and furnishings. They presented much better and more well-kept than the outside.
Still, after the arrival experience, I told my wife that we couldn't stay here.
The entire property had a ramshackle feel to it. On the lot next door, there was a run-down bus. The neighborhood had a boarded up restaurant and an overall sketchy feel. To be fair, the folks at the cafe we got a Coke at were very pleasant and helpful.
The property refused to give me my money back, however after several texts, e-mails, and a very firm phone call, Expedia eventually covered my $297 refund.
We grabbed an Uber and found better accommodations a few cities away.
