点评:My sister and I took our little dog to Sun-Oka Beach Provincial Park and then walked 300 meters to a very large separate area totally dedicated to pet use. To reach this special dog-friendly beach, the three of us hiked through a stand of old-growth cottonwood trees. One of the first things we encountered was a large sign indicating that this station provided “bio-degrade-able” bags for disposing of your pet’s waste in a nearby blue garbage can. As we approached the dog beach, we saw a great number of downed logs where we could sit and enjoy watching other dogs retrieve balls tossed by their owners or just sunning themselves. We brought our newly adopted Shih Tzu Cross to this area so he could meet other dogs as well as enjoy the surrounding sand and water. He sat quietly on my sister’s lap surveying his surroundings. We took him to the water’s edge to introduce him to another feature of this doggy playground. After that, we retraced our steps to our car and decided to return home. Since there is more for our dog to explore and experience at Sun-Oka Beach, my sister and I plan to return to this “Pet Paradise”!
