Horrible attitude from staff over allergy

点评：We have never been before, and me and my fiancé met with a friend for drinks. When we ordered a half lemonade (for her) and a pint of coke (me), they put a straw in the lemonade. My fiancée has a severe gluten allergy and is coeliac, and a lot of straws used in bars and restaurants have gluten in. She’s apologised and asked if the straw was gluten free (baring in mind we didn’t ask for a straw). The man behind the bar was absolutely horrible. He asked if we were joking, and told us to just “take the straw out”. Then, I had to request another lemonade as it had been contaminated. He snatched the lemonade and made another, slammed it down and said “there you happy now?”. He said we need to ask next time, even thought we DIDNT ask for a straw. We were gobsmacked at how such a simple allergy request was shrugged off and laughed at by a genuinely disgusting attitude from the bartender. There is no way we will be returning. We were left feeling like a problem. Just plain nasty.
