点评:My husband and I went to Lucca for 6 nights and Minori for 3 nights with 3 other related couples in September. We stayed at Antica Rheginna, which was lovely. The hotel is on one of the main streets with a little walk into town and the beach. The rooms were really large, very clean and had a tiny balcony. The host was very accommodating, arranging transportation to and from the Salerno train station and giving us restaurant and driver recommendations.
We picked Minori because it was small and we wanted to avoid the crowds and we were so glad we did after visiting Amalfi and Positano!
Our first night we sat at the open bar on the beach for our lemon cello spritzes and then went to La Botte. Service and atmosphere were good. The food was average. I do have to say that the food in Amalfi is very seafood centric and that’s not my fave so I felt my choices were limited.
Our first full day we wanted to go to Ravello. We took the ferry to Amalfi and bought a bus ticket to Ravello. The bus never came. Probably 100 people waiting for the bus. After waiting 90 minutes, we switched our plans and took the bus ride to Positano. It is an experience riding the bus on the Amalfi coast! Interesting to see! Because of our change in plans, we did not have a lot of time in Positano but I have to say I was not that disappointed because it was so crowded there compared to Minori! We had lunch and shopped and hopped on the ferry back to Minori. Dinner at Giardiniello, which was very nice and they had a wonderful delizia al limona (better than Sal de Riso).
On our second full day, we were very lucky to get a driver to take us to Ravello. 70 euros for 6 of us and so much better than a ferry and a bus. Get this: our driver said the bus does not go to Ravello! (I have seen the post about the Ravello bus situation this summer here on TripAdvisor…). Ravello is beautiful and a must do. We walked up to Villa Cimbrone. We took a right at the split and it was ramps all the way, not many stairs. We saw people’s gardens and wonderful sea views. The garden is beautiful! We took the other way back which ran us through more shops. And, of course, we all bought some ceramics. Lunch at the Bar Al San Domingo, which was ok for sandwiches and drinks.
We went into the Duomo. We walked down the Lemon Path back to Minori. This is as beautiful as everyone says and we loved it.
Fantastic views! It is a long walk on a hot day and not as shaded as some have said.
We made it back to Minori and only 3 of the 6 of us decided we wanted to continue on the Lemon Path to Māori. Woo! Lots of steps! More shade but I have to say not worth the trip compared to the Ravello portion. The walls are much higher on this side so you don’t get the views. We were happy we got to see Māori though. We sat a a beach bar (lemon spritz) and waited for our ferry back to Minori.
The next morning, we had a couple of hours until our ride back to the Salerno train station so we went to Sal di Riso for another Delizia de Limona. The waiter was very rude and the dessert was not as good as the one I had at Giardiniello. I know it’s “famous” but I don’t think it’s a must do.
We took the train from Salerno to Rome, staying at B&B Hotel Roma Fiumicino, which was great for a quick stay and right at the Parco Leonardo stop - one stop away from the Fiumicino Airport. They have a shuttle but we took the train to the airport the next morning.
Everyone wanted one more day in Minori just to chill. We would definitely recommend choosing this smaller town on the Amalfi!
