Very enjoyable and informative
Driftless Area Education & Visitor Center的点评
点评：This Educational Center hit all the right notes: it is truly educational, teaching us about an area that we didn't know well but making things very relatable: my wife saw buttons that she and her mother had both used in sewing, not realizing that they came from the Mississippi rather than an ocean somewhere. The exhibits are both hands-on kid-friendly and interesting for adults as well. It includes information about the geological features of the area, the previous and current biosystems, and also human cultural and historical patterns over the years. Never too much information, but still a lot: it was just plain enjoyable!
It obviously has great local support, perhaps in part because it also is a tribute to the local families' lives and work over the decades. Its design, both in how it's laid out and in what it teaches, is excellent.
