Let down by high prices for parking and refreshments and lots of litter.

点评：The first thing that struck us about the park was the abhorrent parking fees. Way over-expensive. £8 for just a few hours is obscene for somewhere like this.
The park itself is great with lots of activity for children in particular. However, the thing that really lets it down is the amount of litter, especially on the paths down to and around the pier where kids can go crabbing and where people can paddle-board etc. Bottles, cans, remnants of barbecues, all made for quite a disappointing experience. Given the huge amount of money being taken for parking, surely they can afford someone to litter-pick and keep the park clean.
Finally, the prices in the cafe are ridiculous. £5 for a pasty, £3 for a cup of tea I had to make myself and £4+ for a coffee. This is NOT a cheap day out, which is what you'd expect of a country park. And the map could certainly be better. It's upside down based on the compass marking.
