Godzilla interception Awaji island Nijigen No Mori Park

点评：Godzilla interception was our main goal for our son who loves Godzilla.
Getting information on how to get there by public transport was very confusing and the reviews stating it was easy to access are not true.
First of all it is a very big park and lots of walking . We stayed in Osaka and we wanted a day trip .
No matter where you are based you need to catch trains to Sannomiya . Once you get there you have to make your way to the bus stop ( a green building) . We were told that if we take the bus at gate 5 and we are dropped at Awaji IC , there is a shuttle bus . While waiting for the bus we went waking to some shops ( 7 Eleven as a reference) and saw another bus company the West Coast, Shinki Bus . They were leaving 15 minutes later, . Unfortunately for us we made the bad decision and took the bus that dropped us at Awaji IC. We managed to make our way to the stop for shuttle bus as we saw on google, . There are no times and the stop was on a main road . After waiting for some time in the cold we decided to start walking. There are no signs for walking and we used google maps directions. It was a very long walk and we were lucky we found a young Japanese couple who helped us out with directions also using google maps and we are so grateful to them It is not a direct walk and there are no signs , please don’t go to Awaji IC. !!!! On our way back we asked about the return bus and we were told there was a bus leaving every our from parking lot F1
This parking lot is at the entrance of the park ( Godzilla Interception is not far from there ) . It is the Shinki bus which we should have caught in the first place . When you come out of the station at Sannomiya( on East side ), turn to left , this is where you have to come , keep walking past the food shops , a 7 eleven, then you can see at the end of the road in the corner the West Coast Bus Company. It is not far .
You cannot access the park by ferry , there are no other buses coming right to the entrance .
On our searches on how to get there , you can find buses, but the main entrance is on parking lot F1 ! This is where you have to go!
On our way walking to find the park we saw the parking for Highway Oasis bus ( this bus doesn’t come to parking lot F1 it comes to A, which is a fair distance , again is misleading.
For Godzilla fans , the Godzilla interception is a must ! We did the zip line which is quite smooth, nothing like a flying fox , the museum is great, we loved everything! Be aware is an outdoor attraction, nature , it is beautiful,
It took us an hour to find our way from Awaji IC ( wasted so much time finding the place ) but managed to do all Godzilla . Ended up buying a Godzilla hamburger ( which is very big ( 3 burgers on a skew ) and we caught bus back at 4.30 ( the return trip to our point of origin to Universal City Station took us 1 hour and half !
Awaji Island is not small as we thought ! More transport options to the park will be great and clearer instructions for getting there !
