点评：Deadman's Cove can be found in Cape Disappointment State Park. The cove is a very picturesque site that contains a beach that's a touch more than 300 feet long. You can get to the cove via the Cape Disappointment Trail, the trailhead is found at the end of Cape D Road. The trail to Deadman's Cove is about a quarter mile from the trailhead, just make sure you keep a good eye open for the little sign that you're there. The trail is nicely kept but can be muddy depending on the weather. There's plenty of trees to give you cover but be ready for a little bit of difficulty. The challenge comes when you need to walk down to the cove itself. Plenty of erosion has weathered the steps where it can be slippery or the gaps will require some footwork. Bringing pets maybe a bit of a challenge but I have seen some dogs on the beach.
The reward is a cove that is a beautiful as it is peaceful. I haven't been here while it was buys, 3 families at the most. There's a lot of driftwood of varying size, some large enough to sit on. Plenty of opportunities for nature pictures. While making your way to the lighthouse, might as well come down first to Deadman's Cove.
